The Second Horizon guide to the best games of 2018 so far on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and the most exciting upcoming games of 2018 and early 2019 which have a great hype.

Red Dead Redemption 2:

Rockstar Games will finally deliver one of the most requested sequels of all time in this breathtaking open-world western. It sets to offers a twist of The Magnificent Seven, now players will take on the identity of  Arthur Morgan and will partner with the Van der Linde who will gang up to make their mark on the American frontier. We can expect a lengthy story campaign set before 2010's Red Dead Redemption, but the real revelation could be the online features. Rockstar has had several years of Grand Theft Auto Online to prepare for whatever cowboy delights they unleash here.

God of War

Sony's most demanding game is also set to return this year, but while this is a sequel to Greek warrior Kratos' god-slaying sprees of yore, it also serves as a soft reboot for the series after a couple of years.

Now set in the frozen areas of northern Europe, this will see Kratos as a father, guiding his son Atreus to adulthood while facing the monsters and gods of Norse myth. Expect Kratos swapping his iconic chained blades for the new, elementally powered Leviathan Axe.

The Last of Us 2:
Naughty Dog has created an absolute masterpiece in The Last of Us, giving itself as a modern work of art thanks to its incredible characters and storytelling with a harrowing post-apocalyptic tale. Pre-order The Last of Us Part 2 from Amazon

The Last of Us Part 2 was revealed with a teaser trailer at PlayStation Experience back in 2016, but Naughty Dog revealed the fact that the game is still very early in development, so it’ll be a while until we can get our hands on it. So let's wait for a little.
In a recent interview done with Argentinian radio station Vorterix, The Last of Us Part 2 composer Gustavo Santaolalla revealed that the title is planned to launch exclusively for PS4 in 2019. Take this with a pinch of salt, but it seems like a plausible launch window to us.

Shadow of the Colossus 2:

When the game originally launched on the PS2 in 2005, it was a revelation for PlayStation 2 owners as the game was awesome back then. Though it may look like a standard video game, "Shadow of the Colossus" is anything but the diminutive character you see above is who you play as, and he's got an objective: Takedown gigantic monsters by any way possible. But why? And what are these "monsters"? Are they monsters, or is he, for murdering them? You answer this if you have played the game.

Shenmue :
Three Months back, Sega developers shocked Shenmue fans with the announcement of Shenmue I and Shenmue II re-releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. At the time, some assumed the announcement came after the excited response the Internet blurted out when Shenmue III was revealed back at E3 2015 during Sony's E3 presser.

That revealed the assumption is wrong. Sega Europe's Vice President John Clark has revealed that re-releases for the 1999 and 2001 Sega Dreamcast classics have been stewing internally for several years and will probably launch this year. The game has a great hype in Japan and people are literally waiting to play this game.
