One for the Future: Ousmane Dembele

After a much anticpiated move to his dream club FC Barcelona and replacing the boots of their star player Neymar jr. much was expected from the young French International Ousmane Dembele.

He suffered a ligament injury last season which saw him spending 4 months in the sidelines. After playing 3 macthes, Dembele suffered another injury which ruled him out for 1 more month.

It was a very tough moment for the young lad who missed training for his former club in order to boost his transfer to Blaugranas. This costed him his playing time till January and he didn't make much apperance in 2017-18 season.

But this season can be a major boost to his confidence as all the players and even the manager has shown immense confidence in Dembele.

He has blistering pace which can tear apart defences. His dribbling skills and control of the ball makes him one of the brighest prospects in the coming years for FC Barcelona.
With an ageing Messi, Dembele along with Coutinho will be given the responsibility to attack.

He has shown his worth in Sueprcopa Final when Dembele blasted a shot from 40 yards to seal Barcelona their first trophy this season. Dembele again proved to be the difference in Barcelona win against Valladoid yesterday in a very controversial match which Barca won 1:0

FCBarcelona's big-money signing is finally starting to pay back his transfer fee and proving wrong his critics. Although he didn't make much apperance in World Cup, this is the time for Dembele to shine in Camp Nou.

FC Barcelona 2:1 Sevilla, SuperCopa de Espãna: Match Review

In a thrilling match which ended 2:1, FC Barcelona defeated Sevilla and lifted the Supercopa de Espãna in Ibn Batuta Stadium here in Morocco.

Sevilla opened the Scoresheet with Sarabia making no mistake in scoring a clinical finish. Barcelona played well until then but look a bit shaky in between in converting the chances.

Blaugrana equalised with Pique scoring the deflection from Messi's freekick with HalfTime scoreline as 1:1.

Barca played well in the second half with Ivan Rakitic giving the shape to the midfield. They surely missed Andres Iniesta who was not there in the team for the first time in 16 years.

Ousmane Dembele played a brilliant role and he scored a stunner from 30 yards to help Barcelona win the cup. Messi looked calm and composed as he always does but Luis Suarez looked a bit shaky and bottled a couple of open chances like he did in the previous season.

Arthur debuted against Sevilla and played brilliantly giving composure to Barca Midfield which is absent after the departure of Xavi.

Lenglet and Vidal also debuted for the club and were pretty much fine in shape.

Barca will play the Joan Gamper game on Wednesday against Boca Juniors.
